Overview
Poland's System Kaucyjny is a deposit-return scheme launching October 1, 2025. Beverage merchants and distributors, including online retailers, must charge a refundable deposit on covered drink containers sold in Poland. Deposits are refunded when containers are returned to designated return centres. Physical stores larger than 200 m² are required to accept returns; online retailers are generally exempt from the return obligation but must still collect the deposit at point of sale.
