How do I apply custom conditions to a fee with Magical Fees?

Kyle Godon·Published · Last updated help
  1. When editing a fee go to the Product conditions section select Custom conditions.
  2. Choose whether products need to match all conditions or any condition to include the fee.
  3. Click Add condition.
  4. Use the drop-down lists to set your conditions:
    • In the first list, pick the condition type.
    • In the second list, choose how the product should match.
    • In the third field, enter the condition value.
  5. To add more conditions, click Add condition and repeat the steps.
  6. Click Save when you’re done.

Always label deposits separately for compliance

Display bottle deposit fees as a clearly labeled, separate line item at checkout and on receipts. This meets regulatory transparency requirements, builds customer trust by showing exactly what they're paying, and makes it significantly easier to track deposits for reporting and audits. Use a clear label like "Bottle deposit" or "Container deposit (CRV)" so customers immediately understand the charge.
