DIY Setup Instructions (Do It Yourself)

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Apps.
2. Select Magical Product Fees.
3. ClickCreate fee.
   • Choose between theFunction Method orBlock Method for fees.
   1. The Function Method is generally recommended for most stores. It displays fees as part of a product or product bundle directly at checkout. This method works great for most types of fees such as credit card processing fees, recycling fees, bottle deposits, surcharges, and more.
4. The Block Method may be preferred by some stores. It displays fees as separate line items in the checkout. This works great for stores with workflows that depend on the block method, or growth plan customers who want discounts to apply to their fees
5. Enter a title for the fee.
6. In the Details field, you can describe what the fee is for. This description will be visible to customers at checkout.
7. Under the**Type **section, choose whether you want the fee to apply to products or the entire order.
8. In theCalculation section, choose one of the following:
   • SelectPercentage, and then enter a value.
   • SelectFixed amount, and then enter a value.
   • If you selected “Order” under fee type, skip to Step 11.
9. Under “Number of times fee applies:”
   • SelectEvery product to add this fee for every quantity of each matching product in the cart.
   • SelectOnce per product to add this fee a maximum of one time for each matching product in the cart.
10. Choose whether you want to bundle the fee with -Matching Product, where the fee is bundled with the products it applies to. This option makes it more clear what the fee is added to but would be included in product based discounts that apply to the product. -Other Product Fees, where the fee is bundled with other product fees under a placeholder product created by the app. This option is best when excluding fees from product based discounts.
11. If you’re creating a product fee, choose one of the following:

• SelectAll products to apply this fee to all products.
• SelectSpecific collections and check the appropriate collections to apply this fee to products in the selected collections.
• SelectSpecific products and check the appropriate products and/or variants to apply this fee to the selected products/variants.
• SelectCustom conditions to and create a custom set of conditions to apply this fee to products matching those conditions.

11. If you’re creating an order fee, choose one of the following:

• Select**Subtotal **to apply this fee to an orders subtotal
• Select**Total **to apply this fee to an orders total (only available on Growth plans)

12. ClickSave.
