Check the Shipping Address, the Billing Address, or Both
Choose which address each rule checks at checkout: the shipping address, the billing address, or both. Available on eight rules, from house numbers and P.O. Boxes to postal codes and custom rules.
Some address problems show up on the billing address, not the shipping address. Eight Address Ninja rules now let you choose which address they check: Require house numbers, Require apartment/suite numbers, Block P.O. boxes, Validate postal code format, Block postal codes, Limit characters per field, Block special characters, and Custom rule (REGEX). Pick Shipping address, Billing address, or Shipping and billing addresses under Address on the rule's page. On Limit characters per field, Block special characters, and Custom rule (REGEX), each limit, character list, or pattern gets its own choice, so one list can apply to billing names while another applies to shipping addresses. Each address follows the settings for its own country, so a German shipping address and a French billing address are each checked with the right rules. The billing check runs when checkout has a billing address. When the shopper enters a separate billing address, errors appear on the billing field and in the checkout banner. Existing rules keep checking the shipping address until you change them. The DHL rules and the meineinkauf.ch rule check the shipping address only.
