Shopify’s default XML sitemap has a cap of 50,000 URLs. If you go over this, Shopify will generate a second sitemap for you, but according to users who reviewed this app, these additional sitemaps can be difficult to submit to Google.

Building an alternative sitemap with Custom XML Sitemap Builder Pro will remove that risk and make it easy to submit one sitemap to Google and manage it going forward.
